Black Tea
Tea from India - Darjeeling 1st flush Phuguri 2023 Grand Cru
This is the 15th harvest since the beginning of the year and it gives us a very well balanced batch. Smooth cup and pronounced sweet clonal flavour, long lasting notes with a hint of sweetness. Harmonious, floral, silky, smooth and reminiscent of Muscat flavours.
Harvest : Fine, hand-made.
Garden details : Located on the border with Nepal, in the Mirik Valley.
Producer : It took 500 kg of fresh leaves to produce this batch of 70 kg of leaves.
Date of harvest : Betweneen March 30th and April 1st.
Fun fact : Lot plucked exclusively from the Dammann parcel in this prestigious garden.
Tea expert comments : One of the best lot tasted this year, which, despite a lack of rainfall of almost 50%, was able to shape a lot all in flowers (rose) and Muscat ! An enchantment.
Moment for tasting : All day long.
Food Pairing : Fresh fruit salad.
