Tea from China - Huangshan Mao Feng - box of 25g
Harvested during the first days of Spring on the slopes of Huangshan Mountain, a renowned site of Anhui province classified UNESCO Word Heritage, Huangshan Mao Feng tea is one of the ten most famous tea in China. Made from a local wide-leaf cultivar, it delivers a mellow cup with floral and warm sugar notes. A real treat, as much for its magnificent leaves as for its tasty liquor.
This batch comes from a local broad-leaved cultivar. The first production of Huangshan Mao Feng dates from the reign of Emperor Guangxu, during Qing dynasty, but has been known for more than 300 years. The harvest begins around Qing Ming (April 5).
This tea can be brewed at 90°C. It can be prepared either with the European style, in a teapot with 2g for 15cl for a single infusion (3.30min at 90°C), or in a Gaiwan for short and repeated infusions with 5g in 15cl of water .
