How is Japanese green tea prepared?
To prepare a green tea from Japan, we recommend infusing for 2-3 minutes in water heated to 158-176°F for a plain tea or for 2-2.5 minutes at 176°F for a flavoured tea.

To respect typical flavors from Japanese green tea, we suggest a moderate temperature: 158°F for Gyokuros and Senchas, 176°F for more roasted teas such as Houjichas and Genmaïchas. It is possible to infuse up to three times a high quality Gyokuro or Sencha. To do so, you just have to triple the tea quantity (5-6g for 15cl) and begin by a 158°F infusion during 1 minute. Then increase the temperature with shorter infusions.
