How is green tea prepared?
To prepare a green tea, we recommend brewing in water heated to 176°F.
Particular care needs to be taken when preparing a green tea. Generally produced from delicate young shoots, it is important not to burn the tea when brewing. Either brew with warm water (green teas from China: 176°F, green teas from Japan; 158-176°F for 4-5 minutes), or add a little cold water to the dried leaves (approximately a third) and top with boiling water.
