What Houjicha is ?

Houjicha is a Japanese green tea made from Bancha, tea from the last harvest of the year which takes place in October. It is then roasted giving its leaves the appearance of brown chips. The infusion of Houjicha reveals toasted, woody notes and a slightly sweet flavor, ideal to enjoy during brunches, in pairing with sushi, and chocolate desserts.
